Things To Know If You Are Being Bullied At Work

Things To Know If You Are Being Bullied At Work

Whenever you go to work, give it your best. Do the best that you know how and know that God is pleased if you are doing that. No matter what others do to you or how they treat you, do not lose heart. You doing the best you can is a witness. Do your work as if you are doing it for God because you are working for God. Those who mistreat you will have to answer to God for that. Your diligence will prove you to be better than those who mistreat you and your ultimate reward is from God in heaven.

Don't Get Sucked Into Bullying At Work

Don't Get Sucked Into Bullying At Work

More times than not bosses bully employees. Many times they will pick out the weakest link and center their bullying on that person. You may have been their target for many years and then a new person comes along. They may be good to that person for a while and then find out that the person is a little slower than others and they turn on them.

Bosses may use tactics of buttering you up even if you have been their target for a long time and tell you that you are doing a good job, then they will slip in some negative comments about their new target employee and stir you against them. You will find that all the other employees call that person names and have nothing good to say about that person. Other employees will also try to get you bully that person. The other employees will butter you up and make negative comments about that person. The temptation to go along with that is easy. Doing the right thing puts yourself at risk of getting fired and/or getting ridiculed and bullied by other employees and your boss. It is easy to take part in the bullying when you are not the one getting bullied. Don't fall into that. If you catch yourself falling into that, stop. Do the right thing. Be kind to the person and encourage them.

Remember that you are not working for your boss, you are working for God. God will not be pleased with bullying. God will be pleased when you are encouraging people and building them up even if it is not the popular thing to do.

God bless,

Tips For Finding A Good Loving Spouse

Tips For Finding A Good Loving Spouse

There is nothing that is fool proof. There are no 100% guarantees, but these tips can help.

1. Trust in God.

2. Pray and engage your partner in prayer.

3. They will treat you very well in the beginning and you will be romanced and you will feel loved.

4. Very carefully observe how they treat their parents and their families. Do they react abusively or with kindness?

5. Very carefully observe how they react toward others. Do they show compassion? Do they care? What if a see a stranger lose a loved one, how do they react to that? Do they show compassion or do they not care?

6. How about their relationship with God? Is that a priority in their lives?

7. How do they react when things go wrong? Do they accept responsibility? Do they blame every one else?

Watch these things very carefully. Do not rush into anything. I am praying for all of you because I do not want to see any of you being abused. I want to see every one of you being treated with love and kindness.

PTSD, Triggers And Flashbacks

PTSD, Triggers And Flashbacks

Have you ever had something that was said or done that you witnessed that caused you to start shaking uncontrollably and ready to cry or end up crying for a long period of time?

This is what happens to me when I witness something that triggers the memories of getting spanked with a stick on my bare butt. I experienced that when another kid got spanked on the bare butt. I also experience that when I see someone taking a paddle to their kid. I also experience that when someone is intensely yelling at their kids.

Have you ever had thoughts of the abuse at random?

I have at least thoughts of the severe bare butt spankings I took several times a day. Sometimes random flashbacks occur. These things happen when I would do something that had nothing to do with abuse. I could be working on a car and have thoughts like that. I would completely dwell on something different and thoughts would hit me at random. I have made peace with that so I am not greatly effected by that and not very disturbed by it. It took me a long time to get to this point. I would have never got there if I would have not forgiven my abusers. Trusting God that He would work all that out for good also helps a great deal. Without that trust in God, I would still be disturbed by those thoughts.

How about flashbacks? Have you ever had them?

Many of my flashbacks would be much more disturbing because in my flashbacks, I would be in a car on the side of the road watching my grandparents ruthlessly spanking a 4 year old kid with a stick that was a 3 foot long 1x2 stick. I would watch this kid scream in agony and me in the car could do nothing. It would cause me to cry and be very saddened because I could not watch another kid be treated like that. I cannot watch that happen to any kid. It is better for it to happen to me than someone else. I would find out that the kid was me. This would be like a movie going on inside my head. When I get experiences like that, I would have to pray and remind myself that I forgave my abusers and the people that I was able to help because of what I went through. I would also get dreams like that as well. When these things happen, I would be doing something that would have nothing to do with it. These things just happen out of the blue even when my mind is completely off of it.

If you have had experiences like that, or still struggle with it, I would like to pray for you.

There Is No Remission For Sin Without The Shedding Of Blood Heb 9:22

There Is No Remission For Sin Without The Shedding Of Blood Heb. 9:22 There is no remission for sin without the shedding of blood. That is written in Hebrews 9:22. The church has taught that. The church has applied this to child discipline since 300 AD. Kids were being spanked until they bled. Whips were used on children and large sticks and paddles. I, myself have been spanked until blood seeped through my skin. It is senseless to do that. My experience is that I felt only the first few swats then my butt was numbed for the rest. Because of the damage I received, it was not long before spankings like that would no longer sting. To this very day, someone could break a stick by hitting my butt with it and I would only feel a very light tingle. The spankings I got not only traumatized me, but also became very ineffective because I would hardly feel anything because of that damage done from previous spankings. When I started to desire spankings at age 8, then they promoted my bad behavior rather than deter it. What the church has neglected was to read the whole chapter rather than just the verse. Reading the whole chapter makes absolutely no indication about child discipline. This chapter talks about the blood of Jesus Christ that needed to be shed for once and for all for the remission for all sins of all times. It is very clear that there no longer is a sacrifice for sins. Jesus paid it all. There are scriptures that deal with child discipline. Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares his rod hates his son. But he who loves his son disciplines him promptly". When we study the Hebrew in this verse, we see that the rod can have a physical or symbolic definition. The rod is using what is effective on your children.  Some children can be spanked all day and it does nothing for them.  It is not a rigid object like the English word would portray. This shows that using rigid and damaging objects is a bad thing.  Children do not know what God's will is, they have to be taught. Children are learning, this means that we cannot beat them with many stripes. Scripture must be taken in context. Shedding blood on children cannot be justified. Bruising children cannot be justified. Any time you bruise a child or draw blood on them, you have abused them. Causing harm to a child is wrong. What about bare butt spankings? I have not seen any scriptures about making kids pull their pants down or exposing their bare butts to get spanked. There are no scriptures to condone this practice. From my experience with that is that I felt degraded when I got old enough to understand modesty. I felt violated by that. I also felt humiliated. My modesty was not respected. Our goal is to teach and instruct our children and to bring repentance, not to humiliate and degrade our children. Bare butt spankings made me feel like I was less of a person. I was afraid to tell someone that I got bare butt spankings. I felt that people would think less of me because of that. Ephesians 6:4 "do not provoke your children to wrath but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.". Colossians 3:21 "Fathers, do not provoke your children lest they become discouraged.". Our purpose is to teach and instruct our children, not to take our anger out on them. We are not to pour out our wrath on them, we are to teach them and do only what is necessary to teach them and bring repentance. There is nothing in there about humiliating them or degrading them. There is nothing in there about harming them. We are to discipline them with respect for them and respect for their bodies, not to damage their bodies. Degrading them and humiliating them is not respecting them. Compromising modesty is also degrading and disrespectful. Our children is broken enough when they are reprimanded, so it is very important to reassure our love for them after the discipline. There is nothing wrong with the child. There is something wrong with the sin. God created our children and us very carefully and we were all created in His image. There is nothing wrong with you as a person. There is nothing wrong with the child as a person. There is something wrong with the sin. Never tell a child "what is wrong with you? " instead, tell them "what is wrong with what you did?" By that, you are attacking the sin and not the person. Psalms 139:14 "I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made". Build your child up but tear down the sin. God made your child a beautiful person and carefully gave your child his/her wisdom and personalities which are to be loved and cherished.

Whips Cannot Hurt You! Sticks Cannot Hurt You!

Whips Cannot Hurt You! Sticks Cannot Hurt You!

I have a whip at home. Is is a very stiff whip with a slightly flexible end on it. What does that whip do? I can stare at it and it just sits there. I can stare at it, I can walk around my house. I can sleep in the same room that the whip is in and what has it done? It just sat there. I have no reason to be afraid of it. Sticks work the same way.

Whips and sticks do absolutely nothing. It is the person using it that hurts people. It is the person who hurt you, it is the person who hurt me, not the whip or stick. People hurt people, not objects. People use objects to hurt and abuse people. Don't be afraid of the whip or stick. Stay away from the person who hurt you with it.

The whip I have has been a very useful tool. I found it on my property in Michigan. That whip was very useful for blazing a trail to the river by cutting down high grasses. It did a better job than my weed eater. My weed eater kept plugging up, things went twice as fast with the whip. At that time, that whip never hurt anyone. It was the best tool for the job. The whip was good.

I still have that whip and I have never used it on another person or animal and I will never use it on another person or animal.

Repentance Can Go A Long Way, Reverse Repentance Can Do More Damage Than If There Were No Repentance

Repentance Can Go A Long Way, Reverse Repentance Can Do More Damage Than If There Were No Repentance

After I have lived with my grandparents, I lived with my mother and step dad. My mother married my dad's brother. At first, I got hit on my hands with a stick one time. I was also hit in the head once also. My mother addressed that and told him that if he was going to hit us to hit us on the butt. I was spanked with a stick and when I had to pull my pants down and get spanked with a stick, my mother addressed that too.

My step dad took parenting classes and learned that the way he was treating us was wrong. He repented and he changed his ways. I was able to overlook the bad things he has done and I had a great deal of respect for him for the changes he has made. I understand how he was raised because I lived with my grandparents and I got spanked with a stick by them until I could no longer feel that stick hitting my butt. My grandparents gave spankings like that for every little thing.

I was very happy at home after my step dad took parenting classes. He treated me like I was his very own. I ended up calling him dad. He was a very good father figure to me. At that time I felt very loved at home.

When I was 19, my mother and step dad got divorced. My step dad started to date other women. He spent a lot less time with me and my brother. I lived with him when I was going to college and sometimes would not see him for days. He met a woman with a child and the woman and her child ended up living with us. The child did not like a lot of foods. The child had trouble eating foods that he did not like.

My step dad came up with a solution. Supper time would be at 5pm. We all ate at that time. When we were done eating, the timer came out and was set for 10 minutes. If the kid did not have his food finished, my step dad made him pull his pants down and spanked his bare butt. The timer got set for another 10 minutes and then another bare butt spanking. This would go on until bedtime at 8:30. When bedtime came, he was force fed and if he gagged or any food came out of his mouth, my step dad swatted him in the head hard enough where his head hit the table. This went on for many months. I was greatly disheartened watching this. I realized that my step dad did not care about the fact that what he was doing was wrong. I also realized that had my mother not gotten in the way, I would have been treated the same way regardless if it was right or wrong. I could not concentrate on my homework and became depressed. I did poorly in college because of that and I ended up getting kicked out. I feel after seeing the way that the kid was being treated that I would have been better off if I were treated like that than to see the false repentance. I lost a lot of respect for my step dad because of that and was deeply hurt.

After that, he met another woman and marries her. He gives me a note asking me not to call him dad any more. That was icing on the cake. It felt like a death in the family. I was 29 when I received that letter. It took a long time to get through that.

He now divorced that woman and got back together with my mother and now he shows remorse, but can I trust that after what I saw? What if something happens to my mother? I will never again call him dad. I can't feel that he is real. I would have been better off if he never repented than to see this unfold. I get along with him and I do not hate him, but it is very hard for me to trust him.

Spankings With Blunt Force Or Over Spanking Can Create Many Complications Even If It Happens Only Once

Spankings With Blunt Force Or Over Spanking Can Create Many Complications Even If It Happens Only Once

I have been spanked many times with large sticks. It has caused me many problems. It may have effected my social skills which has led to much bullying in school. It was very hard to deal with emotionally to the point where I could never talk about my emotions. I even became ashamed of my emotions. It caused me to desire spankings starting at age 8.

I also had to pull my pants down and get a spanking on my bare butt with a stick. This can also trigger involuntary sexual experiences. This may have been the beginning of my desires to get spanked. There may be many people who have been spanked like that and completely abhor the desire to get spanked. They may completely hate the idea. That does not mean that sexual experiences have not been triggered. The excessive force from a large stick or large paddle hitting the butt suddenly forces blood into near by areas, along with the extreme and damaging pain travelling to those areas. Many people may not be aware that they have had involuntary sexual experiences from extreme spankings as a child. They may or may not get into spankings as an adult.

When engaging in casual sexual activity, it could trigger flashbacks of the brutal spankings they took. I have had this experience, where I commonly got flashbacks of the bare butt spankings I took. Flashbacks will always occur. If it happens during sexual activity, it may cause a person to withdrawal from it, which may have a large effect on a marriage. When there are non sexual stimuli to flashbacks, it may cause a person to completely avoid the activity. Example: if a person was abused with a golf club, they may avoid golfing all together. If they were whipped with a fishing pole, they may avoid fishing.

If you want to have a normal life, the only thing you can do is to make peace with your past, not avoid it, but accept it and forgive those who wronged you. You may have flashbacks your whole life and you also have to make peace with that too. When I am ministering to others, it helps me that when I get flashbacks, I am able to remind myself that had I not gone through that, I would not have been able to help others either. Also reminding myself that I forgave those who wronged me is also a big help in dealing with flashbacks. You will never get rid of flashbacks, so it is very necessary to make peace with them.

"I Love You" Can Be Meaningless When Love Is Not Practiced

"I Love You" Can Be Meaningless When Love Is Not Practiced

Many parents tell their children "I love you". Kids need to know that they are loved. Kids need to be loved. Many times kids are not being loved. When a kid is not being loved, "I love you" is meaningless. A child is not being loved when a parent gives them a physical punishment with no regard to the physical damage that they are doing to their children or no regard to their child's health or not caring about the damage they may cause. Severe spankings with large sticks is not love. Getting hit on the hands with sticks is not love. Getting hit in the head is not love. When a child brings to the parent's attention of the possibility of the parent killing them by hitting them in the head and the parent responds "I don't care, I am going to do it anyway! ", that is not love. Your words "I love you" are meaningless. When you tell a child "I love you" then tell a child "why don't you go play in the street and get hit by a car", "I love you" is meaningless.

When you tell a child "I love you" and show them love, it means a lot. Discipline shows love. When you discipline a child in a way that shows respect to their bodies and their health, that is love. Anger does not show love but instruction and reassurance of you love for them after the discipline shows love.

Cutting a person down is not love. When you tell a child "I love you" and then call them "stupid" or other bad names or tell them that they are worthless and useless, "I love you" means nothing.

Exploiting a child, degrading them, making them expose themselves and giving bare butt spankings is not love. When you do this and tell them "I love you", that is meaningless.

Respecting a child's privacy and dignity is showing love. You can discipline children without degrading them. It is better to use harsher instruments to spank with than to make them expose themselves by spanking their bare butt. I am not condoning using harsh instruments. Producing a sting without causing harm or making them expose their butt is sufficient.

All things should be done with respect, instruction, and regard to the child's dignity and modesty. All instruction should be constructive. It should also be made clear that it is the misbehavior that is being punished, not their person.

Bare Butt Spankings Are Crude And Indecent

Bare Butt Spankings Are Crude And Indecent

Many of us have been spanked as children. Blunt force or spankings with blunt objects causes many problems. Making a child pull their pants down to get spanked, thus making them expose themselves is very humiliating and degrading. It shows no respect for their modesty and it shows no respect for the child. The way I see it, any act of making a child expose themselves is sexual abuse.
If you are having a child remove clothes to bathe them, or do just what is necessary to take care of them, then it is not abuse. Making a child expose themselves to get spanked is abuse.
The object of discipline is to teach, guide and correct a child. It is not to degrade or humiliate the child.

Spankings Can Be A Reward Rather Than A Punishment With Some Kids

Spankings Can Be A Reward Rather Than A Punishment With Some Kids

Many parents will try to curb misbehavior by spanking with blunt force or using blunt objects to spank with. This can trigger involuntary sexual experiences in a child. A person does not have to be an adult or an adolescent to experience this. This type of thing happens because the butt is an erogenous zone. The nerves in the butt are connected to the nerves in the genitals. When extreme pain is experienced, that pain travels to the genitals along with the sudden blunt force forcing blood into the genitals. When this happens, the person experiences sexual experiences. Some have reported recalling being aroused by spankings at as early as age 6. Some reports were made of boys as early as age 4 having erections after getting spanked, which most of them do not recall the actual experience. Once you have triggered these involuntary sexual experiences, you have created a desire for spankings in those kids. Spankings now become a reward rather than a punishment.

You may spank a kid then notice an increase of that misbehavior rather than a decrease. The kid may in his way try to encourage you to spank him/her harder. They may ask for spankings. They may choose spankings over other non physical punishments. They may spank themselves. Or they may talk about spankings very frequently. TAKE NOTE IF YOU SEE YOUR CHILD DO ANY OF THESE THINGS.

Once a person desires spankings, they are no longer useful for curbing bad behavior. Spankings will now enhance bad behavior. I, myself have desired spankings since age 8. It more addictive than crack cocaine. Those desires will never go away, even if you never spank your child again.

I have been very reluctant to talk about this until this year. I was afraid of what others might think. I now opened up because I thought it necessary for 3 reasons. To get people to stop judging others for their differences. To get people to understand that there may be reasons for others to have differences and to get people to accept the differences of others and love one another for who they are. The third is to let you know that if you like to be spanked or have other differences, it is ok for you to be you. You do not have to be ashamed of who you are.

Accepting The Things That Happened To Us Is Wrong May Be More Difficult But It Is The Best For Us In The Long Run

It may be easier to convince ourselves that we either deserved the abuse or that some how the abuse we got was right for ourselves. This type of thinking may make us feel better that we got treated the way we did. You will find that whatever reasons you use to justify the abuse you got will also be carried out on others when they do the same things.

It is more painful to accept that what happened to us is wrong. It hurts to know that we were wronged and abused. We have to accept that if we want to break the cycle. If you do not want to abuse your kids, then it is necessary for you to accept that you were abused and accept that all abuse is wrong, even the abuse that happened to you.

If any one of you are struggling with this, I would like to pray for you.

Those Who Tear You Down Are Doing The Work Of The Devil

Anyone who makes you feel any less than a precious and special person has told you lies. Anyone who has not loved you has sinned. Anyone who has made you feel worthless has done the work of the devil. You are a very special, loved, and valuable person. God has given you potential to make big differences in the lives of many people. Trust God with your life and He will work in you and cause many great things to happen from someone like you.

You Are A Much Better Person Than Those Who Mistreated You

For those who have bullied you, abused you or mistreated you because they cannot accept you for who you are has already proven who they are by the things that they have done to you. When you have love, kindness and compassion on others, your qualities have proven to be much better than those who mistreated you. Those who mistreated you has proven that they lacked love, kindness and compassion, which are the greatest qualities a person can have.

You stand far above those who mistreated you. Those who mistreated you do not deserve you. Your qualities of love, kindness and compassion out weighs any cruel thing a person can do to you. It proves you to be the greater person.

Put on love, kindness and compassion and that will prove just how great you are.

Rodney Calmes

Convincing Yourself That You Deserved The Abuse Is Destructive

I have tried to convince myself that I deserved to be abused. I tried to figure out a way that I deserved it and no one else does. I never wanted to see another person be abused, so I tried to convince myself that I was more rotten than anyone else. This has caused me to feel worthless and useless. I have convinced myself that I do not deserve to be considered a person. This is what I tried to do to help make myself feel better that I got mistreated and abused and bullied. This type of thinking does not heal, it destroys you. Many of you may have thought like this. If any one of you have ever struggled with this or are struggling, I would like to pray for you.

Rodney Calmes

Forgiveness Is Not Justifying A Wrong And It Is Not Denying A Wrong

When we try to justify the abuse we got, that is not forgiveness. Justifying the abuse we got leads us to abuse others. It will not heal us.

When we deny the abuse we got, that is like shoving dirt over a wound to cover it up, which will fester and cause more problems. Denial is not forgiveness, denial will not heal us.

Forgiveness is accepting that what happened to us is wrong, but choosing to not hold any grudges against the person. It is choosing not to have bitter feelings towards the person. It is a choice to let go of the past. It does not mean trusting the person or setting your self up for further abuse. It does not mean coming into that person's life again. It just means not holding anything against the person. Forgiveness is the start of the healing process. Healing cannot happen without forgiveness.

Rodney Calmes

Every Person Is Responsible To Research And Do What Is Right. There Is No Excuse For Abuse.

Each person is responsible before God to research the Bible for what is right and what is wrong. No one can be justified for abuse. I may have been spanked with a large hardwood stick. It may have been a common practice by the majority at that time. The church may have endorsed it. It may have been tradition, but it does not make it right. The Bible has never endorsed spanking with hardwood sticks. The Bible has never endorsed s shedding blood on children even though many churches may have taught that.

The Bible does talk about using the rod to spank children with, but the Hebrew for rod is a fresh shoot which is light and flexible, stings but does no damage.

The Bible talks about no remission for sin except for the shedding of blood, but that applies to the blood of Jesus who died for our sins for once and for all. It even says that there is no more sacrifice for sin, all sins have already been paid for. It does not apply to shedding blood on children. Shedding blood on children is not found in the Bible.

You are all responsible to research what is right on how we handle children no matter what tradition is, no matter what you have been taught. Every person is responsible to rise above that.

There is no excuse for abuse. Abuse cannot be justified. Abuse is wrong no matter when it happened. Abuse is wrong no matter what everyone else does. Abuse is wrong no matter how you have been treated.

If you were brought up with abuse, unlearn what you were taught and were brought up with and relearn what is right.

This Is What Can Happen If A Child Is Abused Even If It Is Only Once

I recently whipped my butt with a car antenna until it was very well swollen and bruised. I had a flashback of when I was 7 when I had to pull my pants down and bend over with my hands on the bench and get spanked with a 2x4 on my bare butt. I remember the incident vividly and I also remember the adrenaline rush that I had from it. It was very similar to the adrenaline rush I experienced on my recent event. I believe that this event was the event that triggered my desires to get spanked that I had since I was 8.
This is the long term effect that abusive spankings can have on a person.

Rodney Calmes

Too Many Harsh Spankings Done On A Regular Basis Can Become Ineffective And Painless

Many parents tried to teach their children by giving them severe spankings. I have been spanked with a 1x2 stick. Sticks and large paddles are the worst things that you can use. They do much damage to the deeper tissues and nerve endings which heal into scar tissue. With enough spankings like that done on a regular basis, the skin becomes permanently discolored (a tannish reddish color) and very resistant to bruising along with a lack of sensitivity to pain on the butt. I can tell you that from experience. I was goofing around and it got carried away and I got a swat on my butt with a 1x2 hardwood stick and the stick shattered. I never flinched and it did not hurt. My friend was very puzzled by that. This is what you are doing to children when you spank them with blunt objects like that. I have also liked getting spanked since I was 8, which made it a reward instead of a punishment. Think about this before using blunt objects to spank your kids. In the long run, it will be more harmful. It creates long term emotional harm as well. You don't have to do physical damage and put your kids through excruciating pain to teach them. I have learned to be fearful of people from the abuse and bullying I went through. It took a long time to overcome that. The Bible promotes spankings, but not with blunt objects, only with lighter objects that produces a sting, not excruciating pain and physical damage.

A Legal Declaration I Have to Make to Prevent Any Further Lawsuits

A Legal Declaration I Have to Make to Prevent Any Further Lawsuits

I legally have to declare very clearly that in the picture that someone has posted in my name approximately 2 years ago of my scarred butt against my will that those scars did not come from my grandparents nor did it come from any one else in my family. Some of you may have seen it from "Dorothy Vankampen", some my have seen it under "Adrienne Calmes" on Twitter or Google. That picture has also been posted on various internet accounts that were opened in my name. Someone took a picture of me changing clothes and posted all over the internet. He got a $300.00 fine. After he got his fine, that picture is legally no longer his responsibility, now it became mine because it is a picture of me. I also have to make these declarations where ever that picture is. I also have to legally declare where those scars came from. They came from me consenting to getting whipped as an adult as a result of my involvement with BDSM (Sadomasochism).

I have written in my previous stories that any scars my grandparents left would not be noticeable by others unless they were pointed out. I mentioned sitting on a heater when I was drunk, but anyone who saw that picture, those scars are very obvious and it is obvious that it did not come from a heater. It was my legal obligation to declare this to prevent any further trouble.

A Very Common Form Of Abuse That People Don't Think Of As Abuse

A Very Common Form Of Abuse That People Don't Think Of As Abuse:

This type of abuse usually occurs in divorce situations. Children become pawns as one parent uses them to carry out revenge against the other parent. They turn their children against the other parent by sitting their children down and bad mouthing the other parent. The children believe them. Then the children go to the other parent's house and the other parent bad mouths the one parent. This is abuse whether you like it or not. I, myself grew up with that.

The effects it had was that I ended up confused. It takes away from the love parents are supposed to have on their children. I felt that I had no one to look up to. I, later on started to look up to my maternal grandparents. I have learned to trust them more than my own parents. It is very difficult to trust and look up to parents who are bashing each other or even trust them. A child's up bringing is their foundation and when parents try to turn their children against each other, that tears down the child's foundation. The children have no one to look up to. It also makes a child feel alone and isolated. If a parent truly loves their children, they will not do things like this to them.

Did I Choose This?

Did I Choose This?

When I was growing up, I was spanked with a stick until I could no longer feel that stick hitting my butt. Those became very painful memories for me. Why were these such painful memories when I desired to be spanked like that starting at age 8? Why did I desire that? Why did I go through adolescence thinking about and fantasizing about being spanked? I did not understand. I wanted to be "normal". I did not want to be like that. I was ashamed of who I am. I thought there was something wrong with me.

I spanked myself many times and consented to being whipped leaving many huge scars. I asked God to take these desires away from me, He did not. God had something to teach me from this. I searched the Bible through and through and found nothing in it that dealt with these desires. The Bible taught me that anything consentual between husband and wife was ok except for Sodomy. I researched the laws and found that anything consentual between 2 adults was legal. In psychology they call it an alternative lifestyle, not a disorder. I could not find anything that said it was wrong.

Based on my research on this, I have found that those desires came from the severe spankings I took as a child. Those spankings have triggered involuntary sexual experiences that I did not recall having. I recall having those when I spanked myself. I realize that I would have never had those desires if I had not been spanked severely as a child.

I now know that those desires are a part of me. It is a part of who I am today. God taught me that if the Bible does not condemn it as a sin, it is ok to embrace it. God taught me to accept myself for who I am and I only need to repent of any known sin. I was taught through this not to judge others but to accept their differences. I was also taught to restore others and approach them gently of sin rather than being judgmental and condemning. If their differences are not sinful then accept them for who they are and accept their differences. I realize now that through this God has made me a better person.

This is for everyone. Those who have never desired spankings may not understand this. I am writing this for everyone to be more understanding and accepting of others no matter who they are and what they like.

God bless you

Those With Good Character Cannot Be Torn Down

Those With Good Character Cannot Be Torn Down

When you live a life in obedience to God’s word, and make it your goal to love others, live a life of integrity, show compassion, grace, mercy and kindness toward others, there is nothing that can tear you down. No matter how much someone tries to ruin your reputation, your reputation has been built on a solid foundation. If you have flaws, people will see past them, so if someone tries to reveal the flaws, you cannot be torn down. Someone may try their hardest to ruin your name, but only theirs will be ruined by what they do. Your name and reputation will remain in good standings. People will look past the bad things the other person tries to do to you. A person of proven character is like a house built on a rock, when storm come, that house still stands, nothing can tear that house down.

When you do mean things to others, become shrewd, try to tear others down, you are like a house built on the sand, when the storms come, that house falls. When someone tries to ruin your reputation, your reputation is already ruined by the things you have done and proven yourself to be.

If you are that person who built the house on the sand, it is never too late to accept Jesus Christ into your life and change your ways. It is never too late to build a house on the rock that can withstand storms.

Matt 7:24-27
24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
NKJV

When you show good character, you will find that when others try to tear you down or ruin your reputation, people will stand behind you and support you.

My Story on Cyber Bullying by Rodney Calmes

My Story on Cyber Bullying by Rodney Calmes

About 2 years ago, someone took a picture of my scarred bottom, then exaggerated the scars with doing picture editing, then opened many accounts in my name and posted the picture. This person put it on Google, My Space, Twitter, and Facebook. I tried to block it and spent countless hours trying to stop what he was doing, and failed. That picture reache...d all my friends and old classmates that I had. My classmates were the main target, but some church friends got hit with that too. I ended up burning myself out trying to stop this madness, neglecting other things that needed to be done to try to stop this person, to find my efforts were in vain, and this person was unstoppable.

I reported this to the police, and the person got a $300.00 fine for harassment. The police told me that they could have got him for more if it was frontal nudity, but backside is legal in Wisconsin as long as the genitals were covered. They also told me that they cannot make the person erase it because once it is on the internet, that person may not have any control of it after, so it is now public information. I was advised by the police to file a civil suit, but it would cost me money and I would get nothing out of it from a person who does not have a job and cannot keep a job. I have spent hours trying to report abuse on the picture on many sites and nothing got erased. The trick I found is to go to those accounts and open an account in my name and report abuse on the other account that was made in my name telling them that they used my name falsely, then a lot of bad things got erased. The picture still exists under “Adrienne Calmes”, and it appears in some other areas where I have no control over. I cannot claim “Adrienne Calmes” was my name used falsely, because that is not my name and it remains.

I have shared my story of the abuse and bullying I lived with growing up, but when someone put that picture and my story together, it makes it look like my grandparents were responsible for all the scars, so I had to reveal my involvement in BDSM and my self destructive behaviors so that the all the responsibility does not fall on my grandparents. I did take some severe spankings from them, but they are not responsible for all the scars on my bottom. I was told by a lawyer that if I let my story remain and the picture remains on other sites and someone sees them both, it could be misleading and to avoid a lawsuit against me, I had to reveal some secrets that I did not feel comfortable revealing, and some others may not have been comfortable with that either. That was my involvement with BDSM and my liking to get spanked and whipped. Had that picture not been posted, I would not have had to share that part of me. It was not easy for me to do.

A lot of the cyber bullying and my efforts trying to stop it has overwhelmed me and caused me to go into a depression along with being overloaded with the responsibilities of holding the church together. I felt that I could not face anyone. I felt that I could never go to another class reunion. I was able to alert the people in my church so that they knew what was going on. I was at least able to face them, because they have known me for a long time. I did the best I could to alert others, when it was going on and I detected it. Many people have friended that other person and I believe no harm was meant by those who friended the other person. Some have unfriended me, but I do not blame them if they did not know was going on.

The blessing that came with this in the end: Some of my classmates stuck by my side and seen me for who I was and looked past that. Some have greatly encouraged me and fought for me through this. They could have thought less of me, but they did not. I could never make it up to those classmates for what they did for me. I have learned that proven character sticks for a long time and when a person has proven character, it can weather the bad things. I now feel that I can go to class reunions, and face others. My involvement with BDSM is no longer a secret that I have to carry and I have been freed from all secrets. I was able to turn a curse into a message, and some people were blessed by that. It may have offended some people, but I am now free from all secrets, and I no longer have to hide who I am. I have also found that many will still accept me even after all my secrets have been revealed and I now feel more blessed that people can accept me for who I am rather than being afraid of being rejected if someone finds out my secrets. Even some of the worst things, God can turn into a blessing. I have also learned that I do not have to be ashamed of who I am, but I can now embrace who I am.

The Aftermath of Giving it all to God

The Aftermath of Giving it all to God

The first step we need to make in this process is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. When you accept Him, all your sins you have committed, and all the sins committed against you have been nailed on the cross, you are forgiven of your sins, and you are set free from the sins committed against you.

Acts 10:38-43
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."
NKJV

The next step is reading the Bible and praying.

2 Tim 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
NKJV

Many things have been instilled in us as we have grown up and the environments we have been around throughout our lives. We have a lot of bad things instilled in us. In my case, feelings of not being loved, loneliness, self destructive behaviors, feelings of being useless and worthless, thinking there is something wrong with me, etc. Reading the Bible helps us see ourselves how God sees us.

Believing and doing God’s Word comes with reading it. Here are some victories God has given me by giving everything to Him.

1. I have unlearned my thoughts of being worthless, and learned that Jesus paid a precious price by dying on a cross for my sins, and no one would pay that price if I was worthless. Jesus considered me valuable, so He did that.

1 Cor 6:20
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
NKJV

2. I have unlearned my thoughts of being useless, and learned that God has created me for His workmanship and He will use me to do great things.

Eph 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
NKJV

3. I have unlearned that I was not loved, and learned that God loves me even if no one else did. He would not have died on a cross for me if He did not love me. (see John 15:18-25 - later in this post)

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
NKJV

4. I have unlearned that there was something wrong with me, and I have learned that God created me for who I am. He gave me the measure of wisdom and knowledge that He sees that I need, and He uses what I have to accomplish His will. He has given me the gifts and talents He desired me to have and to work that out also for the building of His body. I am a part of that body and I have my functions as that part, and every part of the body has its own unique, useful function. (See 1 Cor 12)

5. I am different than other people. I have learned that it is ok to be different. God has created everyone to be unique, and no two people are the same. Each person is a different part of the body and each person is equally valuable in God’s sight.

Gen 1:31
31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.
NKJV

6. Repent of any known sin, change from it. We may have all sinned from the beginning, but Jesus has died and washed them all away. When we have repented and turned from our sin, and Jesus washed them away, we are completely clean of all sin and Jesus sees us as spotless.

Acts 3:19-21
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
NKJV

Rom 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
NKJV

Heb 10:16-17
16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," 17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
NKJV

7. I have also learned that God created me for who I am, and what He created was beautiful and good. God has loved me enough to create me in His image, just like He has created you in His image. God has created us all equally in His image and we are all equally beautiful in His sight.

Gen 1:27
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
NKJV

8. I was able to vent all my hurts over to God. God has lead me through His word to forgive all who wronged me and to pray for them. By doing so, a huge burden was lifted off, and many of my hurts have been healed.

Matt 6:14-15
14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
NKJV

John 20:23
23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
NKJV

9. I have learned that God can take all the evil things in our lives and turn them around for good. It takes faith and trusting in Him to work that out, but once you put your faith and trust in Him, those things start to work out. Now I am running my page and groups to reach out to others who have been hurt by abuse or bullying. I have been able to encourage many people who went through different types of trials that God will work them all out by sharing some examples of how God took the abuse I went through and worked it out for good.

Rom 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
NKJV

10. I was also able to come to a point of accepting myself for who God created me to be. God allowed the things to happen to me for a reason, to broaden my understanding of what it is like, so I can minister to others out there who are hurting, and I would be able to understand them. Had I not gone through the things I did, I would not be the person I am today, and what God has done is very beautiful.

11. God has freed me from repeated self destructive behavior, which kept getting worse and worse with a vicious emotional cycle with flash backs. He has freed me from that. I may get tempted to self harm, but He has freed me from that vicious cycle.

The bad things I have unlearned, and the good things I have learned, it takes a long time and much reading of the Bible and self examination to see these things. All these things had to be worked out one by one through the continuous reading of God’s word.

12. My relationships with others have improved. God has taught me the importance of listening to others and also to share in conversations with smaller groups of people. People in church were more accepting of me than anywhere else. My social skills have greatly improved when I was around people who accepted me and I found that being accepted was much easier among other Christians. I was withdrawn at first, but as I got to know people, I became less and less withdrawn. I do not socialize much in large crowds mainly because of noise and I cannot hear people when there is noise, and I get withdrawn because of that. I do much better in smaller groups and one on one with little or no noise in the background. God has sent people to help me in these areas, and also reading His word has helped too. It is more about focusing on others and putting them first rather than putting yourself first.

Mark 10:42-45
"You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their geat ones exercise authority over them. 43 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
NKJV

Mark 9:34-35
34 But they kept silent, for on the road they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest. 35 And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, "If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all."
NKJV

13. I was always a sensitive person and from the abuse and bullying I have taken throughout my life, I have become like a robot where I had no emotions and lived just to exist. When I accepted Jesus into my life, I have seen His love even if no one else loved me. My emotions were restored and my sensitivity came back. The scripture that has helped me realize that I am loved is here:

John 15:18-25
18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. 25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without a cause.'
NKJV

14. When we have been hurt too many times, we learn not to trust. Sometimes we learn not to trust even those who can normally be trusted. It can be hard to open up and share your feelings with another person when you have had others shoot you down for that. Even when we need someone, we tend not to trust and end up bottling things up. I have learned that there are some people who I can trust - those who I discern to be Godly people, and have been able to open up to them. I have developed close friends from being able to open up to them. I had never been able to develop close friends before coming to know Christ. The close friends I developed have helped me where I was at and helped me to learn how to interact with people.

15. Ability to accept love and kindness - it was overwhelming to me to know that God loved me enough to die on a cross for me and to set me apart from the world because He considered me His child. It was difficult for me to accept love because I thought it was not real. Even when my mother and step dad told me that they loved me no matter what, I had a hard time believing that. I tested their love and found some stumbling points, but then I backed off when I found their stumbling points because I did not want them to hate me. I found out that God truly loves me and nothing can separate me from that love. He died for every sin and He forgives every sin I have committed. I have seen that “Apostle Paul” murdered Christians and God still loved him and saved him from his sins and he is now in heaven. I realize that God loves me too. It took time for me to accept love from others, but now I realize that it can happen and that love is real.

16. I have grown up getting spanked with blunt objects and when I was about 8 I started to like getting spanked. I did not know why I liked getting spanked at that age, and after studying about that, I found that the spankings with blunt force would have physically triggered some sensations that caused me to like it even as early as age 8. I felt there was something wrong with me because of that and I had asked God to free me from that. God did not free me from that because it was not a sin as long as it takes place between husband and wife, I learned from that experience that we should only call things a sin if the Bible says it is a sin. I have also learned to accept myself for who I am and only try to change sin in my life, and accept the things in my life that are not sins. I also learned what it is like to struggle and learned not to judge others. This whole thing has humbled me, and taught me how to treat others with grace and mercy rather than judgment. I have also learned that I do not have to be ashamed of who I am and I do not have to be ashamed of who God created me to be, I only have to be ashamed of the sin in my life and repent and change that. I also learned that it is ok to like anything that is not a sin. Had I not liked getting spanked from age 8 and forward, I would have fell into legalism and went along with it. I also would have done more judging others rather than treating them with grace and mercy. I have also learned that it is ok to like what I like, even if it is not popular and even if no one else would like it, as long as it is not a sin, it is ok.

Work Place Abuse/Bullying

Work Place Abuse/Bullying

There may be bosses or managers who hit or sexually harass employees, but the most common form of abuse in the work place is destructive criticism. Many bosses will attack the person or blame the person for their problems. Employees get cussed and sworn at, jobs get threatened, bosses make them feel like they are not good enough, no matter what you do it is not right, knit-picking, name calling, belittling, and making a person feel worthless. Some bosses will cut wages and make a person feel like that they do not deserve their wages. They may make them work extra hours and find something wrong that they did to not get paid for those hours. Taking breaks away and telling an employee that they did not work fast enough to get a break, and making them punch out for their breaks anyway. They may blow up and go ballistic over a minor insignificant thing. People get yelled at in front of others and make public displays of their mistakes and put their names on it. There are also cases where bosses would make fun of the employee and stir up other employees against that one. These type of practices are known as work place bullying or work place abuse.

Years ago - prior to 2001, the economy was flourishing, and even though there were many bosses like this, a person could quit and find another job relatively easily. Now that the economy is bad, jobs are not readily available, so a person who is stuck in this situation cannot get out without completely losing their means to survive. As our economy is getting worse and worse, these type of things are happening more and more and people are stuck with no where else to go. I, myself have had experiences like this, and would find myself cringing going to work to the point where it would make me sick thinking about work. I have also had good bosses and good places to work where I would almost look forward to going to work.

There is a time and a place for constructive criticism, which is showing a person their mistake and explaining to them how that mistake could be avoided. When a person is not doing their job, or when a boss gets a bad emloyee, there is a means to address that person. Specific details are needed to show them their fault, and bad attitudes cannot continue. Bad employees need to be addressed immediately and possibly be dismissed before their bad attitudes rub off on others. When bosses take good employees and beat them down, the good employees can get discouraged and production can drop. Good employees need to be reinforced of their good work on a regular basis and when a problem does occur, they may be more likely able to handle the constructive criticism. If only bad things are brought up and not good things, a good employee can get discouraged.

There may be many of you who may have experienced things like this, and if you have, I will pray for you.

My Roots in Sadomasochism BDSM

My Roots in Sadomasochism BDSM

This may be complicated. I was often spanked as a child, and when I lived with my grandparents I was spanked with a 3 foot stick. I do not recall having any involuntary sexual experiences from that. I was often spanked in school until I was 9. It would be rare if I went a day without being spanked.

I started to like being spanked when I was 8. I also recall wanting to be spanked with a stick when I was 11, or even experiencing a full blown whipping. I did get spanked up to the age of 10. The first time I spanked myself was when I was 15, and did it more often when I was 18. I was always intrigued by the marks that were left from it, and my curiousity drove me to do more and more each time. I recall having an experience when I was 19, and became more hooked on it. I started seeking it out more and more. It bacame a daily thing eventually until I was 29. I did practice it since the age of 29. I was married at age 31, and later on, my wife stopped it because at times it triggered the abuse I went through with my grandparents and I reverted back to self harm. A lot of the spankings were considered self harm rather than S&M, but I got hooked into S&M as a result of it.

I had felt ashamed that I got into S&M and thougth there was something wrong with me. I was afraid of being discovered. I often avoided locker rooms. I lived in apartments and tried to avoid using instruments that created a lot of noise. I had someone walk by and hid thinking that they could have seen me spanking myself through a crack in my window. I was afraid to tell someone about it. I was afraid that I would be sent to a mental ward if someone found out. I was ashamed of it and was very nervous about it. I thought there was something wrong with me. Every time I engaged, I thougth "What if the neighbors heard that?" "What if someone hears it through a window and sees me through a crack in the window?" I thought about telling someone, but chickened out. I finally told someone when I was 27, and was extremely nervous. That person was a group leader in my old church, and he told me that anything that is consentual between husband and wife is ok. I seen the numbers of people involved when i did my research paper, but it never sank in. When that person told me that it was more common than I think, and I met someone else who was into it, my nerves were eased.

I researched the Bible thoroughly on S&M, and there is nothing in the Bible that either condones it or condemns it. I came to the conclusion that it is ok if it is consentual between husband and wife. I was more at peace about it, and accepted that it is a part of me. Smoking is another thing that the Bible neither condones nor condemns. We cannot condemn something that the Bible does not condemn. This was hard for me to share in a public forum, but I know how common it is and I share this in this group, but I will not share this in other groups because it can cause others to be uncomfortable. If you have uneasy feelings about being into S&M or feel ashamed of it, it is nothing to be ashamed of. The triggers are physical, not psychological. It is ok to be you. S&M may be a part of you and that is ok if you keep it between husband and wife and both are consentual. It is only wrong if it takes place outside of marriage, or if someone in the marriage is uncomfortable or not consenting to it.

God Bless,
Rodney Calmes

The Blessings and Struggles of Having a Photographic Memory

The Blessings and Struggles of Having a Photographic Memory

Having a photographic memory can be a blessing. You do not have to study for tests, because you retain a lot of information. You also remember things in vivid details as to when they happened, how they happened, what each person said word for word and things that you read. It is a great advantage when someone needs encouragement and you remember a verse in the Bible and where to find it fairly quickly. I have been blessed with advantages like this for years. When people tell me things that happened, I can remember them, and when someone tells me something that supposedly happened and I have no recollection of it, I have a good idea that what that person told me was false, and I am able to call them on it. You can also recall how you used to think as a small child. For example, when I hear the song “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker, I remember thinking that my uncle David sang that song when I was 4 years old. I also have vivid memories of the cars people drove when I was very young, and other songs that were on the radio that I used to think some aunts or uncles sang. I look back at that and laugh about it.

Some of the struggles that having a photographic memory has is that you remember the exact emotions that you felt when that event comes to your mind. Most people when they see a funny scene, they laugh for a while, then they get over it and when they think about it, it does not phase them. When I see a funny scene in a movie and laugh hard about it, and the memory of that scene comes up 15 years later, I would laugh just as hard as I did at that time because I remember how I felt and I feel how I felt at that time. In good times, that can be an advantage, but when you remember sad moments and bad moments in your life, you also feel what you felt then and that can be a big disadvantage. It makes it harder to cope with the bad things that happened or to get over it. Many people who do not have photographic memories do not understand this, but I talk about this to bring awareness to it. To overcome abuse and bad events in life in combination with a photographic memory, it takes a miracle from God to do it. It is a miracle when someone overcomes it without having a photographic memory, but it is much more a miracle when someone with a photographic memory overcomes it.

I am considering opening a group for those with photographic memories. It would not be necessarily an abuse group, but if I get enough interest, I may consider getting this group going.

God bless,
